The Home Project

Home is a subject that touches us all – we all come from somewhere. At a time when so many people are displaced – whether by war, persecution, climate change, economic imperative, ill health, ambition, love – an examination of what home really is and how vital the concept is to our sense of identity and ultimately to our happiness feels particularly urgent. The aim of The Home Project is to explore the connections between home-making and identity through the tales of never-to-be thrown away spoons, handed-down recipes, bits of jewellery, special smells, particular sounds, which will – I hope – be gathered together in a book and an accompanying exhibition.

If you have a story to tell about the stuff that roots you then do please get in touch.
